Movie Review- The Heat

When Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy co-starred in the action packed comedy The Heat, they ended up creating a whole new level of comedy. With their collaboration they probably created the best comedy movie of the year. Sandra Bullock's clumsy and uptight character together with McCarthy's extreme and foul-mouthed character exceeded the expectations of many viewers. The plot begins with Ashburn arriving into town to find and aprehend a wanted drug lord and collides with Mullin's stubborness and wish to protect her town. Mullins having experienced such sides of town through her brother's life led her to boldy go and decide to capture the drug lord herself. This begins the akward and hilarious relationship between the two which these actresses were able to emphasize greatly. The audiences, who were pakced together during the 117 minute showing, howled with laughter! One of the loudest moments was during the "Good Cop, Bad Cop" scene where Asburn and Mullins go to question a lead suspect, and despite being left outside the room, Mullins breaks in and gracefully slams a phone book into the criminal's face. This film by far is one of my very favorites and I will definitely be getting a copy
for myself on October 15th.
